Farrer & Co will pay all fees for prospective trainees relating to GDL and Legal Practice courses (save for those courses already completed at the date of appointment). While our prospective trainees are at college undertaking these courses they are eligible for the Farrer & Co grant scheme. On application for assistance, the firm arranges grants for up to £7,000 per student for each year of study.
For trainees, our current first year starting salary is £37,000, rising to £40,000 in the second year. We offer 25 days' holiday and provide all new trainees with an interest-free season ticket loan. In addition, after one year, you will be entitled to join the firm’s private medical insurance scheme.
Upon joining the firm you will also benefit from the Group Life Assurance and Group Income Protection schemes, as well as be entitled to a Wellman/woman screening after twelve months’ service.
We also operate a flexible benefits package. Benefits available through the scheme include a contributory pension scheme, dental insurance, the opportunity to join Give as You Earn and childcare vouchers.
There are also four additional benefits available at our annual renewal each July. These are the Cycle to Work scheme, buying and selling holiday, travel insurance and spouse life assurance.
