I was struck by the extent to which Vacation Scheme students were immediately made to feel part of the team and exposed to a variety of interesting work.

One of the best ways to gain a sense of what it is like to work at Farrers is by gaining a place on one of our annual vacation schemes. We run three programmes, one at Easter and two in the summer, with ten places available on each.
The two-week programmes revolve around carrying out real work in two different practice areas within the firm, supervised by our solicitors, associates and partners. Other activities include lunchtime seminars, question and answer sessions, a tour of the Courts, social activities and a group case study involving legal research and presentation skills.
This is an opportunity to get a taste of life within one of London’s top law firms. Many of our current trainees completed our vacation scheme before joining us full time, although by no means all: if you fail to get on a vacation scheme, you should not be deterred from applying for a training contract.
