What we look for
We are looking for eight to ten diverse characters who, like us, share a sense of empathy and an ability to communicate complex issues in a pragmatic and positive way.
Claire Gordon, Partner
Being a good lawyer requires much more than excellent academic ability. It involves teamwork, commercial awareness, intuition, versatility, the ability to get on with a variety of people, and great communication skills, and we will be looking for all of these when choosing trainees.
But more than that, we are looking for people with engaging personalities, people who understand that practising law is more than the ability to analyse. It is about the ability to understand people as well as issues, and presenting often complex material in an open and accessible way. Of course, a sense of humour also helps.
If you can demonstrate those qualities, and have a genuine interest in what we do, then we would encourage you to apply.
