Specialisation: International Private Client

John is a member of the International Private Client Team and heads the Firm's Tax Group.  He advises on both business and personal tax.  His specialist fields include:  tax planning for international clients coming to the UK to live or invest; negotiating settlements of disputes with HMRC; and advising on location of investment funds and fund management operations.

Career

Qualified in 1981; partner Stephenson Harwood from 1983 – 99; partner at Farrer & Co since 1999.

Education

Leys School, Cambridge; Oxford (MA).
