Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA)

Posted by: Adele Eastman | Date posted : 10/07/2015

In February the Home Secretary announced that she would be setting up a new statutory inquiry into child sexual abuse - this was officially opened yesterday.

The Inquiry is calling for information from victims and survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as "from those involved or formerly involved in the care of children, and from institutions under investigation."

Our article looks at the purpose of the Inquiry, its scope, structure and potential impact on relevant sectors to the Inquiry. It also includes recommended action for institutions in those sectors.
