Dress to impress: ACAS guidance on dress codes in the workplace

Further to Alice’s post concerning dress codes and tattoos on 10 July (here: No (visible) tattoos please), I see that ACAS have published new guidance on these points (see: http://www.acas.org.uk/dresscode).  The guidance is made up of principles for employers to consider rather than hard-and-fast rules, but these may provide useful food for thought.

I recently heard about a tattoo in the shape of David Attenborough’s face, which in my view deserves plaudits in its own right.  I am not quite sure employment law has anything to say about it though…
