Alyson is a second year trainee. She was born and raised in Northern California and practised as a Family law attorney for three years in the states, having passed the California Bar in 2011, before she relocated to London to cross qualify and work at Farrer & Co. In her spare time, Alyson enjoys hiking, wine tasting and travel.
Upon completing her Juris Doctorate and Certificate in Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, Alyson travelled to Tanzania to work with Kumbatia, an NGO of which she became the Legal Chair. During her time in university at UCLA, Alyson participated in the Washington Program and studied at Johns Hopkins University while working as a Network Intern at Vital Voices Global Partnership NGO. This international organisation focuses on supporting women in government, business development and enterprise, with special initiatives in human trafficking. Alyson was heavily involved in the arts in her early life and throughout her education and had a previous career acting in films and television.
