David advises a broad spectrum of clients from the education, sports, banking, commercial and charity sectors on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. He also acts for individuals in relation to contract and exit negotiations and team move and restrictive covenant issues. He is a member of the firm's Higher Education and Sports Groups.

Who we help

David advises a number of leading Higher Education Institutions in relation to a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. He has previously spent 14 months on secondment with Imperial College London's HR team, has lectured at the Cass Business School and also provides employment training for managers working in the sector.

David advises a number of national sports governing bodies on employment and equality related issues. He has, by way of example, advised on senior executive terminations, collective issues relating to variations of contract and redundancies, individual employee disciplinary and grievance matters and numerous discrimination complaints, raised by employees, players, participants and/or licenced coaches or officials. He also regularly provides training for the Sports Recreational Alliance and its members.

David qualified as a solicitor in September 2001, having joined Farrer & Co as a trainee in 1999. David was made partner in May 2008.
