Gavin Acheson is an all-round real estate practitioner with considerable experience advising a wide range of charities including educational institutions and large national charitable bodies.

Gavin advises on the commercial real estate interests of institutional, corporate and private clients, specialising in the acquisition, funding, asset management and disposal of investment, development and occupational property. Investment and development clients include prominent UK property investment funds, property companies, property owning institutions of all kinds and international family offices.

Gavin has long experience of advising on the commercial real estate interests of endowed charities, livery companies, landed estates and similar institutions, with substantial and often metropolitan property portfolios. He accordingly has particular expertise in the field of equity sharing geared ground lease interests and structures of keen relevance to that market.

Who we help

Gavin specialises in advising charities, charitable institutions and foundations on property (including landlord and tenant) matters - with a particular emphasis on the property interests of leading City charities and institutions. Gavin has long experience of dealing with the complex and innovative geared leasing structures of real interest to that market.

Clients include grant-making City charities of significant endowment, charitable common investment funds, universities and other similar bodies governed by non standard constitutions.
