James has a diverse client base that includes advising individuals, family offices and executors on personal tax, trusts and succession planning (including Court of Protection and attorneyship). He has particular expertise in art transactions and heritage matters as well as setting up philanthropic and charitable structures.

James advises on the treatment of high value art works in tax planning and heritage taxation strategies as well as the sale, financing, purchase and export of high value artworks by family offices, private banks and art dealers.

Who we help

James advises a number of institutional charities with a broad based investment portfolio including commercial property, artworks and archives. He also works with a number of family offices, accountants and individuals on the structuring of private philanthropy vehicles.
