Joanna is a member of Farrer & Co's specialist Contentious Trusts & Estates Group. She advises on a wide range of contentious matters and has experience of both onshore and offshore litigation concerning trust and probate matters.

Contentious trusts & estates

Joanna specialises in advising settlors, trustees, protectors and beneficiaries on the full range of trust disputes. She has particular experience of breach of trust claims, third party creditor claims and asset protection work.

  • Contributor to the second and third editions of Tolley's Inheritance Tax Planning;
  • “Issues of Principle” (arbitration clauses in trust instruments),

Career

Joanna was called to the Bar in 2005. Following pupillage, she joined the Chancery Chambers Ten Old Square where her practice covered the full range of Chancery and commercial work. She joined Farrer & Co in 2009.

Education

King's College, London (2000 -2003); Inns of Court School of Law (BVC; 2004 - 2005); Pupillage at Ten Old Square, Chambers of Leolin Price CBE QC(2005 - 2006).
