Tom is a leading reputation, media and information lawyer. He advises the firm’s clients on all issues relating to their reputation, privacy, confidential information and data. Tom is a member of the firm’s Reputation Management and Data, IP and Technology Disputes practices.

Tom advises individuals, companies and other institutions on all aspects of reputation management, whether it is responding to mainstream media coverage, protecting online reputation, dealing with defamation or harassment. Consistent with the team's ethos, Tom's work is very diverse and he firmly believes in taking a holistic approach to protecting clients' reputations.

Tom also advises businesses and individuals on a full spectrum of issues relating to confidential information and data, including privacy, data breaches, information theft and intellectual property. His work in this area includes managing data breaches and cyber incidents and associated litigation and regulatory investigations, dealing with the unlawful taking of confidential information and intellectual property, and handling contractual disputes over rights in data.

Tom frequently advises high-profile sports clients on reputation management issues, as well as disputes and other regulatory matters. He has acted in cases on doping and selection issues before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and advises governing bodies on issues ranging from adverse media coverage to selections for major events.

Tom regularly assists high net worth and high-profile individuals on reputational, and particularly privacy, concerns. These range from harassment by paparazzi photographers to the removal of inaccurate material from the internet.
