Marianne is recommended in the Legal 500 directory, which describes her as “standout”.
Marianne helps families to plan their affairs as carefully and simply as possible, taking account of their international links.
Marianne is a partner in the Private Client department and her clients tend to be families with businesses and private wealth in more than one country. This raises diverse issues, including: establishing and supporting the work of family offices; structuring personal and business assets; individual cross-border succession and tax planning; and helping families implement and maintain governance over their international assets across generations.
Marianne speaks Arabic and French and grew up in Jordan. The families she advises tend to have strong links in Europe and the Middle East and their concerns often centre on personal and business succession, in a context of conflicting legal systems. One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is getting to know different generations in one family, collaborating with their advisers and being trusted to help them work together through transition.
