Alexander Homatas

Alex has extensive knowledge of industry standard form contracts including JCT, NEC and FIDIC. As well as drafting construction contracts, Alex regularly advises clients on procurement, risk allocation and interface issues for new build and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors including build-to-rent, student accommodation and co-living, hotels and leisure, health, industrial and logistics, education, retail and offices. Alex works closely with other teams in the firm and regularly provides construction-related advice on funding agreements, agreements for lease, sale agreements and development agreements.

Before joining Farrer & Co in 2025, Alex worked in the construction team of a major international law firm where he worked on a number of high-profile projects, including nationally and globally significant infrastructure and energy projects.
