Jennifer advises lender and borrower clients on a range of UK and multi-jurisdictional financing transactions, with a particular focus on real estate and acquisition finance.
Jennifer trained at a City law firm, where she qualified into its Finance practice area in 2016, acting for retail banks and specialist lenders as well as high profile borrower clients on investment, development and acquisition financings. She also completed a secondment with the HSBC UK Commercial Real Estate team in 2019 and joined the Banking & Finance team at Farrer & Co in January 2021.
Jennifer is known for her determined and organised working style, focussing on meeting client demands in a timely and efficient manner.
Jennifer has a focus on real estate finance, acting for both borrower and lender clients on investment and development financings, often including acquisition and cross-border elements. She has acted on several financings for shopping centres, prime London retail properties and care homes. Examples of these include:
- Acting for HSBC in financing the acquisition and development of 5 care homes in South East England.
- Acting for a German lender financing the development of a major outlet shopping centre in Kent, which required multi-jurisdictional legal input and was completed within a strict time frame.
- Acting for a major property developer in financing the planning and construction phases of several residential property sites with multiple specialist lenders.
