Richard is an experienced consultant in the Media Disputes team.
After more than 40 years’ practice as a media lawyer and now as a consultant, Richard focuses on keeping media clients out of trouble. He offers pre-publication advice on defamation, contempt, data protection, confidentiality and privacy.
Regular clients include The Economist and the Financial Times. Richard’s strong commitment to the press and long standing interest in current affairs put him in a position to advise from a position of familiarity with his clients’ concerns. He also advises, pro bono, NGOs referred by ISLP (International Senior Lawyers’ Project).
