  • Employment

Robert has significant experience advising both employers and senior executives in the full range of employment matters. With particular expertise in the financial services, education and sports sectors, Robert guides his clients on contentious and non-contentious matters, providing clear and client-focussed advice.

Robert is an associate in the Farrer & Co Employment team.

Harnessing his expertise from advising both employers and employees, Robert provides clear and pragmatic advice to his clients. He considers the long game and provides strategic advice on employment matters, thinking ahead to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.

Robert has experience acting for both employers and senior executives in complex tribunal litigation, settlement negotiations and guiding clients through internal procedures such as disciplinaries and grievances. Robert also advises on corporate transactions, including business sales and insolvencies, and on the employment implications of financial services regulations.

As well as employment matters, Robert also advises schools on pupil and parent matters, including parental complaints and discrimination claims before the First Tier Tribunal.

Robert is motivated by using his expertise and experience to achieve the best possible outcome for clients. The most personally rewarding work Robert has done to date was successfully representing a senior executive in a high-value disability discrimination when he was able to achieve a settlement that was far in excess of what the client had expected.

Robert particularly enjoys the collaborative environment at Farrer & Co and the emphasis on building and maintaining long-standing relationships with clients.

Robert qualified as a solicitor in 2013.

He is currently Vice Chair of the Industrial Law Society, having previously served on the Executive Committee. Robert is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
