As a Private Client lawyer, Shaikha works predominantly on international matters. She acts for a diverse range of High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals and families with a specific focus on succession and tax planning for Middle Eastern clients. She also works closely with family offices, private bankers and offshore trustees.
Shaikha focuses on UK tax issues including UK tax residency and pre-residency tax planning. Her work often includes undertaking an in-depth review of the client’s assets and providing clear and pragmatic solutions as part of their pre-arrival planning. She also advises non-UK domiciliaries on mitigating their inheritance tax exposure in relation to their UK estate including on the structuring and restructuring of UK residential property assets.
Shaikha also assists clients on international wealth planning including establishing trust and foundation structures, English Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Her work regularly involves setting up and advising on dynastic structuring for the world’s wealthiest and most prominent families.
