William advises HNWs senior leaders and their high-flying employees on complex and sensitive issues arising in the boardroom or elsewhere in the workplace. The full monty of problems includes contracts, regulatory matters, discrimination, and reputationally sensitive issues. William's approach is people focussed, holistic and tactically astute.

William is a Senior Counsel in the Employment team where he heads the Senior Executive practice. Previously he has been a partner at Farrer & Co for around 10 years, (and at Simmons & Simmons, where he led the International Employment practice, for 20 years). He is a member of the City of London Law Society employment law committee.

His clients are mainly individuals and include PLC directors, senior bankers (UK and international) and other individuals in crisis or trouble.

William is known for his emotional insight, his commercial approach and focus on whole career, reputational issues which normally weigh most heavily with his clients. His tactical approach, working within the confines of legal practice, is often praised.

With over forty years of legal practice under his belt, William's experience in resolving complex people issues is enviable.

William qualified as a solicitor in 1980.
