Alice Parker lawyer

Alice trained and qualified at an international law firm in London before joining the Farrers Employment team in 2009. She left Farrers in 2011 to relocate to Hong Kong and then Malaysia and she returned to London in 2021 when she re-joined the Farrers Employment team.

In her ten years overseas, Alice set up a tutoring business and worked for a Hong Kong law firm in the Employment team. She later became a consultant for Peerpoint by Allen & Overy and volunteered in the legal unit of UNHCR Malaysia, studied both International Human Rights Law and Gender Diversity, and undertook an internship for a US-based NGO dealing with labour rights issues in global supply chains.

In her time since being back at Farrers, Alice has undertaken a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious work, advising a wide variety of employers (including schools, sports clubs and charities) on employment and safeguarding matters. She often advises schools on parental complaints and pupil matters. She also enjoys advising individuals and has experience advising individuals on the terms of their entrance or exit from an organisation, as well as providing day-to-day advice on issues such as discrimination, disciplinary and grievance issues. Stemming from her international experience, Alice has an abiding interest in matters relating to business and human rights in relation to the workplace and diversity matters.
