Not for profit

Farrer & Co is proud to have partnered with the Society of Antiquaries for a special learning and outreach programme to mark the 800th anniversary of the 1225 Magna Carta.

The initiative will engage schools and community groups over the next 12 months to explore the historical significance of the Magna Carta and the Charter of the Forest, which includes:

  • A free exhibition showcasing the Society’s collection, offering a rare chance to examine these historical documents first-hand.
  • Educational workshops engaging with more than 700 students from London state schools.
  • Creating a free digital resource, developed in collaboration with schools across the UK, which translates key clauses of Magna Carta and the Charter of the Forest.

Fiona Fleming, Head of ED&I at Farrer & Co, says: “We are delighted to support the Society of Antiquaries with their ambitious and groundbreaking Magna Carta legacy programme, and its aim to help expand national conversations about justice and rights. This programme, which will particularly benefit disadvantaged groups with limited access to traditional educational materials, aligns closely with our firm’s values and our deep commitment to creating opportunities for young people and engaging with students and community groups.”

The exhibition is open until 19 September 2025. Learn more here.
