Farrer & Co wins Magic Circle Award

Farrer & Co scooped Charity Law Firm of the Year for the second year in a row at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards, held on 12 May at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London. The law firm was also runner up in the London Law Firm of the Year category.

Charities partner Sam Macdonald, who collected the award, says: "We are thrilled that our reputation for the work we do in this sector has been recognised. This is the result of the effort of the whole team to work closely with clients and really understand the environment in which they work."

Citywealth's Magic Circle Awards are run on an annual basis to find the best advisors and managers in the global Private Wealth sector. A total of 39 firms and individuals were selected for their performance by more than 12,000 public votes and 10 industry judges.

This year, the work of the Charities team has included sophisticated multi-disciplinary projects for charities ranging from household names to new charities, philanthropists and corporates. It is particularly well-known for its transactional and structuring advice, particularly involving charities with complex group and trading structures. Farrers Charities was also given the highest rating in Chambers & Partners Directory 2016.
