Abigail Nott

Abigail is an experienced private client lawyer specialising in providing cross-border estate planning and wealth structuring advice to individuals, families, family offices and trustees, often with a focus on UK tax issues.

Abigail advises on a range of issues relating to private wealth structures, generally involving non-UK trusts and other foreign entities with a cross-border element. This includes advising on tax planning, family governance, and long-term succession objectives.

Abigail enjoys forming long-lasting client relationships and working collaboratively with other trusted advisors to provide considered and cohesive international structuring advice. Much of her work involves advising international families with links to, and assets in, multiple jurisdictions, including the US. Abigail often advises on UK tax issues relating to residence or domicile, including in relation to individuals moving to or from the UK.

Abigail has experience in making voluntary disclosures to HMRC to regularise UK tax issues, and in navigating tax investigations into non-UK trust structures.
