Adam advises on all aspects of domestic and international finance transactions, acting for international banks, private credit providers and alternative lenders on the lender side, and for corporates, high-net-worth individuals, investors and developers on the borrower side.  

Adam has a particular focus on real estate finance and regularly advises on a range of transactions, including development and investment financings, across a wide spectrum of real estate assets such as offices, residential and hotels.

Other significant areas of Adam’s practice include general corporate finance, where he advises UK and international corporates on raising debt for working capital purposes and for asset/share acquisitions; sports finance, often advising lenders on the financing of receivables under football transfer agreements; and fund finance, with a particular specialism in advising on general partner and limited partner financings.

Work highlights

Refinancing: advised a private bank on the amendment and restatement of six connected facilities (in aggregate of £96 million) secured against a range of commercial and residential properties in the UK.

Prime London office financing: advised a Singaporean bank on a £42 million loan facility to a family office client to re-finance two multi-tenanted prime office buildings in Mayfair, London.

Islamic finance: advised a private bank in relation to a Sharia-compliant £39 million facility to a BVI purchaser and secured against a portfolio of commercial properties in Northwest England.

Co-Living development financing: advised a lender on a £20 million development loan facility (converting into an investment loan following practical completion) to a borrower building a residential co-living project in London.

Acquisition finance: advised a multinational financial institution on a secured loan facility to a financial advisory firm related to a share acquisition.

Fund finance: Advised a lender in relation to a €18 million facility to a limited partner to meet capital commitments to several funds, secured against the limited partner’s carried interest entitlements.

Receivables finance: advised a number of banks and funds on transfer receivables financings, including deals involving counterparty risk on football clubs in the Premier League (England), Ligue 1 (France) and Serie A (Italy).
