Fiona provides technical legal support to the Financial Services team on a wide range of financial services regulatory issues.

Fiona's expertise in financial services covers the asset management, wealth management and private banking sectors in relation to establishment, lifecycle and conduct issues for firms in these sectors.

Fiona has advised both UK based firms and overseas firms who wish to provide investment services in the UK market. Before becoming a knowledge lawyer while practising as a senior associate her client work regularly included advising clients on the impact of UK and EU regulatory requirements on their activities. She frequently advised on issues arising from conduct of business requirements including client documentation and regulatory disclosures. In her funds related work Fiona has been involved in the structuring and establishment of a wide range of authorised and unauthorised collective investment arrangements including UCITS and NURS funds, common investment funds and Authorised Contractual Schemes.

Clients have commented on Fiona's approachable and pragmatic style and a keen willingness to collaborate with clients, taking on board their strategic and business objectives.

In her current role as a Knowledge Lawyer Fiona keeps both clients and lawyers up to date with developments in legislation, regulation and the industry as a whole through briefings, seminars and presentations.
