Farrer & Co | Fiona Lowrie, Head of Knowledge Management

Practice areas

  • Banking and Finance

Fiona is responsible for delivering the firm's knowledge management (KM) strategy which enables our lawyers to deliver the best possible legal service to all our clients.

Fiona delivers the firm's KM strategy through mobilising a team of knowledge lawyers and knowledge representatives, who sit across all our practice areas, to take KM direct to their lawyers. In addition, she manages the firm's KM resources, systems and processes. She has a particular focus on innovation and how our lawyers can most appropriately use technological solutions to further our clients’ best interests.

Fiona has an extensive background in client work, having spent eight years as a fee earner in the firm’s financial services team and a further three years as the team’s knowledge lawyer. She has also been on a number of client secondments, including eight months as general counsel to one of the UK’s leading private banks. This background both as a fee earner and her time in house influences how she applies KM to the firm in this key role.
