George Budd

Prior to joining the firm, George worked in education for nearly 20 years, predominantly in independent schools. Most recently, he was the headteacher of an independent school that was named "Boarding School of the Year" in 2021. He currently sits on the Law Society Education Steering Group.

George gained a degree in Geography from Durham University and, having decided to change careers, studied the PGDL and LLM Legal Practice (incorporating the SQE) at the University of Law, achieving a distinction in both and scoring in the top quintile in the SQE. During his PGDL studies, George was awarded the Fearon & Co Prize for the highest mark in the Contract & Land modules and the Surrey Law Society Prize for the highest mark on the PGDL. Prior to starting his training contract, George completed a vacation scheme at the firm and was a paralegal in Farrer & Co’s Contentious Trusts and Estates team.
