Jack specialises in all areas of private family law, both contentious and non-contentious, including financial claims on relationship breakdown and disputes relating to children, including relocation cases. He drafts pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements as part of his wealth protection practice. Jack strives to achieve the best outcomes for his clients both in and out of court, whether through arbitration, mediation, negotiated settlement, or other forms of non-court dispute resolution. Clients value his pragmatic approach, attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.

A significant number of Jack’s cases have an international element, involve ultra-high or high net worth individuals (including those in the public eye) and entail complex financial structures, dynastic wealth and family businesses. Jack has significant experience of financial remedies litigation, dealing with issues such as intricate beneficial interests, corporate structures and the joinder of third parties. He has been involved in numerous cases at High Court level.

Jack regularly advises on financial claims following overseas divorce under Part III and enforcement proceedings, frequently collaborating with lawyers in other jurisdictions to defend his clients’ interests. He also has experience of matters with concerns of non-disclosure/hidden assets.

Jack’s practice also includes complex and high conflict children cases that involve allegations of domestic abuse, safeguarding concerns and substance/addiction issues. His approach is child-focused and constructive.

XO v YO & Anor [2022] EWFC 114

Acted for the wife in high-value international financial remedy proceedings, where the husband had refused to engage in the proceedings. The case involved complex jurisdictional issues, international assets and extensive corporate structures. The judge, having drawn adverse inferences against the husband, awarded the wife 50% of the very substantial marital assets and ordered the husband to pay her costs as a result of his conduct.

Williams v Williams (Rev1) [2024] EWFC 275

Acted for a third party in complex international financial remedy proceedings in which the husband did not provide full and frank financial disclosure. The case was widely covered by numerous national news publications including The Times, The Telegraph, Sky News and The Daily Mail.
