Laura advises on a variety of intellectual property and commercial contracts matters, with a particular interest in the media, not-for-profit, technology and culture sectors.

Laura advises on the management, protection and commercialisation of intellectual property rights (particularly trade marks and copyright), and on a range of commercial contracts matters (including technology contracts and associated data issues). She has a particular interest in the impact of artificial intelligence on intellectual property-rich sectors. She uses her multidisciplinary expertise to provide comprehensive, holistic advice to clients.

She joined Farrer & Co with experience of advising organisations on a range of complex issues relating to intellectual property and technology, including brand and copyright licensing, collaboration agreements with a significant intellectual property element, and software licensing.

Laura’s commercial experience includes drafting and advising on contracts (including franchising arrangements, sponsorship agreements, and an assortment of supplier contracts) for clients in a variety of sectors, including retail, not-for-profit, technology, and media.

Laura has in-house experience, having previously completed a client secondment to a major artificial intelligence organisation. She draws on this experience to provide clients with practical, commercial advice.
