At Farrer & Co, we take a holistic and proactive approach to wellbeing - one that is rooted in evidence-based practices and focused on positive, sustainable outcomes. Our aim is to foster an environment where our people feel supported, engaged, and empowered to thrive - professionally and personally.
Our wellbeing strategy is built on a framework that supports prevention, early intervention, and ongoing care and support - ensuring our people have access to the resources they need, at every stage of their wellbeing journey.
Mental Health Support
We’re proud to have a wide network of fully trained Mental Health First Aiders - colleagues across the firm, including partners, associates, and business services professionals - who are equipped to recognise, support, and guide those experiencing mental health challenges. Their work is complemented by firmwide mental health awareness training, helping to foster a culture of empathy, understanding, and psychological safety.
We actively encourage open, inclusive conversations about mental health across all levels. Our This Is Us podcast gives voice to people across the firm, exploring topics around inclusion, wellbeing, and mental health with the aim of raising awareness and reducing stigma.
Wellbeing in Action
Each year, we host a dedicated Wellbeing Week - a firmwide event designed to raise awareness of the support available and to encourage everyone to take an active role in their personal wellbeing. Beyond this, we run a variety of initiatives throughout the year that promote healthy living and community connection. One example is our popular annual step challenge, which brings teams together in a fun and motivating way.
Neurodiversity Support
We are committed to creating a neuro-inclusive workplace where every individual can feel supported and valued. A range of tailored support is available for neurodivergent colleagues, including access to external specialists. Where appropriate, we also provide assistance to those seeking a formal diagnosis, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity throughout the process.
