Farrer & Co promotes five to partnership

Leading law firm Farrer & Co have promoted five senior associates to partner in this year’s round of promotions:
- Adam Carvalho, contentious trust and estates
- Flora Harrigan, family
- Richard McDermott, private client
- Henry Stevens, commercial real estate
- Nyla Yousuf, insolvency.

Adam Carvalho
Adam is an experienced contentious trusts and estates lawyer. He advises on complex trust, succession and private wealth disputes, regularly tackling multi-jurisdictional issues and involved with high-profile cases. He is recognised amongst clients and peers for his pragmatic and collaborative approach.
Flora Harrigan
As part of the family team, Flora advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters such as divorce, complex financial disputes further to a marital or relationship breakdown, disputes relating to children, pre and post nuptial agreements and cohabitation disputes.
Richard McDermott
Richard specialises in all aspects of UK trust law, wills, tax and estate planning, as well as complex international probate matters. He has particular expertise in advising on mental capacity issues, working to protect vulnerable people who may be affected by mental illness, addiction and/or dementia, and advising financial institutions on issues linked to their clients’ mental capacity.
Henry Stevens
As part of the commercial real estate team, Henry acts in relation to a wide range of commercial real estate matters including investment, development and portfolio management on behalf of private, corporate and institutional clients.
Nyla Yousuf
Nyla specialises in both corporate and personal insolvency with in-depth knowledge of the various formal insolvency regimes. She has considerable experience in advising on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters, predominantly acting for private banks, insolvency practitioners, company directors, debtors, creditors and stakeholders.
