Chloe specialises in employment law, advising both employer and employee clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. She advises clients across sectors including education, culture, charities, commercial and professional services.

Chloe advises employers on the full spectrum of employment law matters, including contracts and policies, managing workplace procedures including grievance, disciplinary and capability procedures, disputes with employees and complex exits including settlement agreements.

Chloe has particular experience in the independent schools sector and advises on general HR issues, TPS, trade union recognition, parental complaints and pupil issues including highly sensitive safeguarding issues which have attracted media attention.

Chloe is an experienced litigator and represents both respondent organisations and individual claimants (including union backed claimants) in the Employment Tribunal. Chloe has assisted clients with a range of claims including unfair dismissal (with employment status disputes), whistleblowing and various Equality Act claims (including disability discrimination, sex discrimination and sexual harassment).

Chloe is a member of Farrer & Co’s Safeguarding Unit and advises clients on complex safeguarding matters, including on liaising with public authorities and the media. As part of her safeguarding work, Chloe has conducted safeguarding reviews for education clients in various jurisdictions. Chloe is also part of the workplace investigation practice at the firm and conducts external workplace investigations for clients.

Chloe is a pragmatic and commercial lawyer who believes in the power of clear communication in both the employer/employee relationship and in the lawyer/client relationship.

Chloe qualified as a solicitor in 2020.
