Farrer & Co bolsters family practice with lateral partner hire

Leading law firm Farrer & Co has today announced that Edward Floyd will be joining its Family team as a partner on 6th December 2021. He joins from Penningtons Manches Cooper, where he was a partner in the London office.

Advising a broad range of clients, including City professionals and entrepreneurs, Edward is a specialist family lawyer. He advises on the full spectrum of family law issues including divorce and financial remedies, pre and post nuptial agreements and arrangements for the care of children. Much of Edward’s practice is international by nature with recent, key cases involving work with Russia, the USA and Switzerland.

Given this extensive expertise, Edward co-edited the England and Wales chapter of Thomson Reuters’ Family Law – A Global Guide, and was noted in the Spear’s 500 guide as “one of the leading young family lawyers of his generation”.

Edward’s arrival follows Gerard Heyes’ appointment as a lateral partner hire in Farrer & Co’s Disputes team in May this year.
