Eleanor Fielding

Eleanor provides advice to financial services firms including asset managers, wealth managers, private banks, and charitable institutions on a variety of legal and regulatory issues including advice on fund formation and operation.
Eleanor qualified as a solicitor in 2023. During her training contract, Eleanor worked with a variety of venture capital fund managers based in London and Luxembourg and was involved in various investor negotiations with financial services firms based all over the world including in Geneva, Israel and China.
Her work included advice on the impact of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and on the merits and process of obtaining European Venture Capital Fund regulation (EuVECA) label authorisation.
During her training contract, Eleanor spent time working with the corporate tax team and developed an interest in the tax considerations that are relevant for fund managers. She has experience working with US counsel to establish blockers for investment into US assets as well as liaising with local experts to provide advice to Cayman-incorporated and tax resident companies.
As a qualified solicitor, her focus is now on providing advice on regulatory issues in the financial sector and on the establishment, management and winding up of investment funds.
