Emily advises on a broad range of commercial disputes for businesses, private individuals, cultural organisations, schools and universities. She has extensive experience in matters including data protection, shareholder disputes, trade mark and passing off claims, contractual disputes and asset recovery.
Emily is a member of the firm’s Data, IP & Technology Disputes team and is developing a varied practice advising clients on IT contracts, data subject access requests and intellectual property rights.
Emily has a particular interest in the art market, having worked for several years at an international auction house. She advises clients on a range of art disputes, including those relating to title, authenticity and copyright, as well as fraud and theft.
Emily was part of the team which acted for the successful defendant, Elanus Holdings Limited, in a long-running dispute in the Commercial Court concerning the ownership of the Idol’s Eye, a 70.21 carat light blue diamond.
Emily qualified as a solicitor in 2024, having completed her training contract at Farrer & Co. She speaks Italian and Spanish.
