Marianne is an employment lawyer with experience in advising clients on advisory, contentious and non-contentious matters.


Marianne has worked for a diverse range of clients, including educational establishments, charities, trade unions, financial institutions and individuals.

From an advisory perspective, Marianne has experience in advising on day to day issues such as recruitment and termination, as well as more complex matters including team moves, the enforcement of restrictive covenants and settlement agreements. Often Marianne is involved in giving both matter and time sensitive advice.

From a contentious perspective, Marianne’s experience includes acting for clients in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and the High Court on various matters from discrimination, unfair dismissal and contractual bonus claims.

Marianne is also well versed in providing corporate support on employment issues in a transactional context.

Marianne also has experience and a particular interest in both advising on and conducting independent investigations for clients in respect of sexual harassment allegations, racial discrimination allegations, whistleblowing and overall cultural issues.

Marianne joined Farrer & Co in August 2021, having qualified into the Employment team at a leading, full-service firm in 2019.
