IICSA final report October 2022 – key takeaways for organisations

After a seven year process, including 19 investigations, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) published its final report on 20 October 2022.

To mark the end of IICSA and to reflect on the learning points that have arisen, the Farrer & Co Safeguarding Unit is publishing an “IICSA and non-recent abuse cases mini-series”.

In this first instalment, Maria Strauss and Emily Part provide a summary of IICSA’s final report and its recommendations, as well as advice as to what organisations should be doing now.
