Farrer & Co and Young People's Life Cafe

Farrer & Co is proud to receive the Most Effective Partnership award at the LawWorks Pro Bono Awards 2025, which recognise outstanding legal pro bono initiatives and the positive impact they have on the communities they serve.

We are partnered with the Young People’s Life Café, working alongside Merry Gibbons and her team to support young adults diagnosed with cancer as they navigate end-of-life planning, providing legal advice on Wills, intestacy and guardianship letters.

Ali Hollingshead, Responsible Business Partner, said:

“It’s a huge privilege to work alongside Merry Gibbons and the Young People’s Life Café team, and this award is a real credit to them and to everyone at Farrer & Co who has volunteered their time to support young adults with cancer through end-of-life planning. We’re grateful to LawWorks for recognising what this partnership can achieve for these young people and their families.”

Thank you to all those from Farrer & Co who have contributed to the initiative: Amy Newhall, Marcus Maxwell, Sarah Grimwood, Tristan Honeyborne, Amy Greenberg, Rhian Lewis, Miranda Good, Ravina Bahra, Leonie Woolf, Gina Kananura, James Davies and Eloisa Clegg.

Our partnership with Young People's Life Café forms part of Farrer & Co's wider commitment to responsible business. You can find our more about this and our other initiatives though our Responsible Business Review.
