Each summer, we recruit ten trainee solicitors to join us. Their two year training period is divided into six “seats”, each lasting four months. The first five seats are each spent in one of our 13 practice areas – Banking & Financial Services; Charity & Community; Corporate; Employment; IP & Commercial; Disputes; Reputation Management; Family; Private Client; Tax; Rural Property; Commercial Property; and Residential Property. The trainee’s final seat is spent in the area where they will qualify to help facilitate their transition to associate solicitor. We are proud of the training experience we give our trainees, with many of them commenting that they love the “level of client contact” and the “small and collegiate” working environment.

When selecting our trainees we are looking for our future partners and want to see ambition, commercial awareness, discretion, clear and agile thinkers, open minded individuals, resilience and analytical ability. If this sounds like you or someone you know, then we would love you to apply. Our application window for 2023 training contracts is open until 23:59 on Friday 9 July. Click here to apply.

Our two-stage interview process will be conducted by video call between mid-July and end of August 2021 by two members of our graduate recruitment panel of senior associates and partners.

To help you with your application here are some hints and tips from our people.
